Travel Card Tutorial with Toad Trip and Deborah

Today’s Crafty Crew spotlight is ready to stamp your passport and send you off on a crafty little adventure! Deborah created the sweetest travel-themed card featuring the Toad Trip 4x6 Stamp Set and Adventure Awaits 6x6 Pattern Paper from our May 2026 Crafty Crew Kit, and we are completely smitten with how she brought these froggy travelers to life. From the bright pops of green and blue to the layered collage style design, this card feels playful, cheerful, and full of wanderlust.

Hi everyone! Deborah here and I’m excited to share with you my card that I created using the May Crafty Crew Kit. This kit is available now for pre-order and will ship on May 5th.

This kit includes:
Two 4x6 stamp sets and matching SVG files
6x6 Patterned Paper Pad
6x6 Stencil

I really enjoyed working with the Toad Trip Stamp Set. These cute little toads look like they are having the best road trip adventure ever. I am so jealous! 

For this card, I was inspired by the Crafty Stamp Co April Sketch Challenge (shown below) and decided to use it for my card layout, with a little twist.  Literally, I rotated the sketch 90° and it worked perfectly. 

 

After cutting and laying the layers out, I decided that I needed some additional black cardstock layers for contrast to help separate the papers visually.

Additional Black cardstock layers:
4½" x 3¾"
Circle - 3¼" diameter circle

 

 

Once everything was colored, I attached my layers, images, and sentiment to my A2 card base. I like to use dimensional adhesive tape to elevate and add a little interest to my focal images. In addition, I added a few enamel dots to match the monthly sketch.
