Shake Your Boo Thang with Meg Daves

Today we’re rolling out the red carpet for Meg Daves and this playful Halloween fun fold card featuring our It’s a Boo Thang 4x6 Stamp Set and Boo Bash 6x6 Pattern Paper Pack. We love how Meg used the repeating “boo” patterned paper with the silly ghost images and bold sentiment for a card that feels fun, festive, and full of Halloween personality. This project is such a fun example of how patterned paper, stamped images, and a playful fun fold design can come together to create a handmade card with extra surprise and charm. Hello, crafty friends! Meg here, from I Teach Stamping, and today I’m sharing a playful Halloween fun-fold card made with the It's a Boo Thang Stamp Set Stamp Set and Boo Bash 6" x 6" Patterned Paper. Between those dancing ghosts, the quirky sentiment, and that fabulous “boo” print, this card is packed with personality!

I started by creating the white fun-fold card base, then trimmed pieces of Boo Bash Patterned Paper to fit the four outer panels. Using the same pattern in each corner brings the entire design together while still allowing plenty of white space around the center.

For the focal point, I stamped “Shake your boo thang” in black ink onto a white cardstock panel. I layered it onto black cardstock, leaving a narrow border to help the sentiment stand out from the patterned paper.

Next came my favorite part—the ghosts! I stamped three images from the It's a Boo Thang Stamp Set and added soft gray shading to their folds and edges with my OLO Markers. You don’t need a lot of color to bring these little characters to life. A few simple shadows give them dimension while keeping them delightfully ghostly.

After cutting out the ghosts, I arranged them around the sentiment panel and attached them with foam tape. Each ghost is tilted in a slightly different direction, making it look as though the whole group really is shaking its boo thang!

I love how the fun fold, playful paper, and dancing ghosts work together without making the card difficult to create.
