Sending You a Latte Love with Positive Tate – Perk Up

Sending You a Latte Love with Positive Tate – Perk Up

We are rolling out the Crafty Crew red carpet today for Megan Cooper and this cozy coffee-loving card! Megan featured our new Positive Tate – Perk Up 4x6 Stamp Set with the Coffee is Life 6x6 Paper Pack, and she created such a fun layered design full of sweet coffee details, soft pink accents, bright aqua patterned paper, and one very lovable Tate. This project is cheerful, cozy, and perfect for sending a little caffeinated encouragement to a crafty friend.

Here’s what Megan had to say about her project:

Hello crafty friends, Megan with the design team here! Today I am sharing a fun coffee-themed card featuring my Favorite Tate! I am so excited to be able to use the Perks Up stamp set from Crafty Stamp Co.

For this card I started by cutting a layer of the Coffee is Life 6 x 6 pattern paper for my first background layer and added a layer of Evergreen Bough Distress Oxide ink to the outside edge of the pattern paper. Then I cut two mat layers in cordinating colors.

I then cut 5 squares using the mixed color line piece of pattern paper from the Coffee is Life pattern paper pack. I cut out 5 white squares 1/4 small than the pattern paper layers.

From there I used liquid glue to adhere the white paper to the pattern paper. I used my stamp positioner to set up the stamps on the squares to ensure the middle image of Tate wouldn't cover the coffee images. Once I liked the layout, I glued the corners of the 4 smaller squares to the large middle square.

Then I layed the stamps back out on the squares and picked them up with my stamp positioner door. I stamped the images using Copic safe ink and then colored them. I made sure to color all the accents in cordinating colors, trying to color them in groupings of 3. Once the coloring was complete, I put small scraps of paper of the images and added splatter in white and Ground Espresso Distress Ink. Since the white splatter was out I added it to the background card layers as well.

From there I heat embossed the sentiment in white on to a strip of dark brown cardstock. Then added a pale pink mat layer. Heat embossing is a great love of mine.

I used foam tape to pop up the square images and half of the sentiment strip.

To finish off the card I added Crafty Dots in various sizes around the card.

I do hope you love this coffee themed stamp set as much as I do. Be sure to head over to Crafty Stamp Co to check out the other fun products that have been added to the shop today!
