Sending Sunshine with Shilo Miles

Today we’re rolling out the red carpet for Shilo Miles and this warm, cheerful hedgie card featuring our Fall Hedgies 4x6 Stamp Set and Summer Sunshine 6x6 Pattern Paper. We love how Shilo paired the sweet hedgehog image with bright sunflower paper and soft layered details. This project is such a lovely example of how seasonal stamps and sunny patterned paper can come together to create a handmade card full of warmth and charm. Here’s what Shilo had to say about the project.

Hello lovelies! This is Shilo! Today’s card is featuring the Fall Hedgies stamp set with the Summer Sunshine Paper Pack from Crafty Stamp Co. I have really been loving sunflowers lately and this paper is sooooo pretty. It was the perfect backdrop for this adorable hedgehog…and I love that pop of red with the sunflowers.

I stamped and masked off this little hedgie and added in the stump to create more of a “scene”.  I colored everything in with my Copic markers and then fussy cut the image out. This allowed me to enhance my scene with texture and sunflowers. Those larger sunflowers are fussy cut out of one of the pattern papers. So don’t be afraid to use your papers in multiple ways - they can often be used for the perfect embellishment on your cards.

• Stump: E57/55/53
• Mushie:  Top R39/29/24; Bottom: W3/1/00
