Posistive Tate's Ocean Adventures with Deborah

Hello all, Crafty Crew Member Deborah Hellman here to share with you my super fun shaker card using the Positive Tate's Ocean Adventures Stamp Set and the Rays of the Sun and Reverse Rays of the Sun Stencils from the Crafty Stamp Co. The Positive Tate’s Ocean Adventures Stamp Set includes four tater figure stamps and four sentiment options. They are all super adorable.

For this card, I first selected my color scheme and then coordinated my cardstock, markers, and ink colors.  Next, I stamped and fussy cut the mermaid tater (mer-tater).  I then stamped and die-cut the sentiment. I wanted a nice warm palette for my mer-tater basking in the sun so used several shades of orange.

After coloring my mer-tater with alcohol ink markers, I stenciled the background using both the Rays of the Sun and Reverse Rays of the Sun Stencils and blending inks. For the first stencil, I used lighter yellow-orange inks; and for the second stencil, I used slightly darker red-orange inks. Next, I arranged all of my components on my card to make sure I liked the layout before gluing.

I selected some shaker bits that matched my colors and then assembled everything.  I added foam adhesive under my top layer making sure that I completely enclosed the shaker bits so they can’t fall out and to allow them enough room to move. I finished the card by adding a few additional shaker bits on top.
