Oh Come Let Us Adore Him with Deborah Hellman

Today we’re rolling out the red carpet for Deborah Hellman and this sparkly Christmas angel card featuring our Christmas Angel Meadow Stamp Set and Let it Snow Stencil. We love how Deborah paired the sweet angel Meadow image with a shimmering snowflake background and a beautiful Christmas sentiment. This project is such a lovely example of how stenciled texture, sparkle, and a meaningful stamped image can come together to create a handmade Christmas card full of faith and beauty. Here’s what Deborah had to say about the project.

Hello fellow cardmakers! Deborah here and I’m super excited to share with you an adorable A2 Christmas card that I created using the Christmas Angel Meadow Stamp Set and the Let it Snow Stencil. The Christmas Angel Meadow Stamp Set includes 5 image stamps and 4 sentiment stamp options. It is never too early to work on your Christmas and Holiday cards.

First, I used the Let it Snow Stencil to stencil some snowflakes on an 4¼" x 5½" piece of Mulberry cardstock using a sparkle white paste. While that was drying, I stamped and colored my beautiful angel using alcohol ink markers.

Before assembling my layers, I added a little light blue dye ink to the edges of my white pieces to help tie my colors together. I trimmed my stenciled layer slightly so that my light blue base layer would show ¼" on each side. This allows me to have a second base layer color and to give visual height to the overall card design. I also added a little sheer ribbon behind my sentiment for a little extra touch of style.

  • Light blue base cardstock 4¼" x 5½"
  • Trimmed Snowflake Layer 3¾" x 5½"
  • White shape approx. 2⅞" x 3¼"
