Nutcracker Magic with Randy | Season’s Greetings from the Crafty Crew
Today we’re thrilled to share another stunning holiday project from Randy — and this one brings all the festive Nutcracker nostalgia we love! He paired our Nutcracker Guardians stamp set with the Poinsettia 6×6 Stencil, creating a gorgeous layered background that gives this card dimension, warmth, and character.
If you love bold color, beautiful blending, and cards that feel like they belong in a Christmas ballet program — this one is going to inspire you.
Randy also shares how he created that beautiful stenciled effect in the blog post below, so grab a cozy drink and enjoy!
Hello crafty friends, DT Randy here. Welcome back to the blog. We are just a little over a month away from Christmas. Do you have most of your holiday cards completed?
I am excited to share one more Christmas card using one of the newest stamp and stencil from the latest Crafty Stamp Co. release. The Nutcracker Guardians stamp set features a trio of nutcrackers, ready to report for duty on any Holiday card.

I first stamped out my images and used Copic Markers to color them. I then fussy cut them out and set them to the side to start on my background.
I took an A2 panel and ink blended it with Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide. I then took the new Poinsettia stencil and blended it onto the panel with Worn Lipstick and Abandoned Coral Distress Oxides.
I then took the sentiment from the Here Comes Santa stamp set and heat embossed it onto green cardstock using embossing ink and white embossing powder.

I then adhered my three nutcrackers onto the panel using foam tape. I completed the card by adding the sentiment underneath using some foam strip tape.
Thanks so much for stopping by today and spending a little time with us! We hope you’ll check back throughout the month for more design team inspiration.
Happy Crafting!
Randy
