New Arrival Elephants with Deborah

Hello all, Crafty Crew Member Deborah Hellman here to share with you my super cute baby themed card using the New Arrival Elephants Stamp Set and the Oh Baby, Baby! Patterned Paper Pack from Crafty Stamp Co. The New Arrival Elephants Stamp Set includes six cute elephants and six sentiment options.

I wanted my overall design to be simple, so I limited my colors and components. Once I had decided on my baby themed card, I selected my colors and papers. I used a solid medium blue cardstock and two pieces of patterned paper from the Oh Baby, Baby! Patterned Paper Pack. First, I stamped and fussy cut my sweet elephant.  Next, I die-cut the rectangle and the oval. I like to keep my color palette simple and to repeat colors on the card. It helps to make everything look purposeful and cohesive. I also stamped and die-cut my sentiment banner.

After coloring my sweet elephant with alcohol ink markers and arranging all of my components on my card to make sure I liked the layout before gluing, I decided it needed a few embellishments. I added just a few half-back pearls to give my card a little sparkle. Adding little details help to make your card special and unique. Then, I simply glued everything and added a little foam adhesive under my elephant and the oval for a little added dimension.
