Movie Monsters with Megan

Movie Monsters with Megan

Hey all, Megan with the design team here sharing another bit of Halloween inspo! Today's card features the Movie Monster's stamp set  2 of the 6 x 6" pattern paper pads from the September 2025 release, Elegantly Eerie and Boo Bash 6 x 6 ".

Let me start with a quick story to share why my character is colored the way she is. Many years back I made my kiddo a Frankenstein's Monster hat that looked exactly like the hair and green for the skin on back and side of the neck equipped with neck bolts. I made it for my kiddo who wanted to be Frankenstein's monster but was not able to tolerate face paint on their face. The costume worked out perfectly. You knew exactly what character my kiddo was, and the costume was comfortable.

Now onto the card! I cut a piece of the orange with black dots Elegantly Eerie pattern paper the 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" to fit an A2 card base and adhered that with liquid glue to my card base.

I cut a piece of black cardstock and ran it through a web embossing folder from my stash. I ran it through twice to give a deep impression. Then I gently swiped a white pigment ink pad over the raised web portion of the card to give it a white highlight. I wanted the web to stand out in the design. I added bright white ink splatters to finish then ruffed up the edges with a pair of scissors to match the feel of the card. This layer was adhered at an angle to the card front with liquid glue.

I used a decorative edge frame from my stash to die cut a piece of the Boo Bash pattern paper to give my character a fun background. I cut it so the black kitty would look like it was standing next to her. This layer was popped up on foam tape to give the card a bit more dimension.

My character was colored with Copic markers, and I used my Scan N Cut to cut her out. I adhered her with liquid glue to the pattern paper layer.

To finish the card, I inked up the edge of my sentiment with black ink and layered it with a strip of Boo Bash pattern paper. The sentiment was adhered using foam tape. I colored and cut two of the "neck bolts" and glued them around the sentiment. I popped on a few gems from my stash that had a fun mixture of color to go with the card.

I hope this card puts a smile on your face; it brought back a fun memory for me! Be sure to head over to Crafty Stamp Co to check out the rest of this fun release.
