Movie Monsters with Meg
Hi everyone! This is Meg Daves, from I Teach Stamping, and I’m excited to share my project with you today!
The new Movie Monsters is so much fun to color because you aren't limited to any color parameters at all! You can go wild and crazy with this stamp set. This is where my inspiration for this card came from - it was all in the color palette.
For example, I decided to go with green for my skin tones, as that's something I wouldn't normally do. But you can make the skin tones any color you want. The sky's the limit!
Since this was going to be a Halloween card, I stuck with pretty traditional Halloween colors. The little bunny she's holding is where I pulled in my orange.
I tried several colors for her eyes, but landed on the same purple as her hair. The other colors I tried really detracted from the image and made the eyes stand out - not in a good way. When I went with purple, it just clicked.
For the sentiment, I also stayed with a traditional sentiment, this Happy Halloween sentiment is from the Halloween Just Batsy stamp set.
I love the mix of monsters with the cutesy touch, this is my favorite style of Halloween cards and I hope this card inspires you to create!
