Mer-May Inspiration with Randy
Hello crafty friends, DT Randy here back with another blog post. We are finally in May which means it’s time for some Mer-May inspiration!
For my first card in Mer-May, I am featuring the Flounderin’ Around Meadow stamp set.
I first stamped out my image and fussy cut it out. I then used Copic Markers to color the image.
For my background, I took an A2 panel and blended it with Saltwater Taffy. I then took one of the stencils in the Rays of the Sun stencil set and blended it with Worn Lipstick.
I took another A2 panel and die cut out two hill pieces using dies from my stash.
With the more wavier piece, I blended it with Uncharted Mariner and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxides.
For the second piece, I blended it with Antique Linen and Tea Dye Distress Oxides. I splattered all pieces with White Embossing Powder.
I assembled my card by adhering my background pieces using liquid adhesive. I then added my mermaid using foam tape.
To complete my card, I heat embossed the sentiment onto a sentiment strip diecut and adhered it onto my card using foam tape.
Have you made any Mer-May-zing cards this month? Check out all the products I used here and all other the mermaid products as well. Happy crafting!
