Let's Have a Smashing Great Time with the September Crafty Crew Kit

Hello crafty friends, DT Randy here and I am excited to be working with Crafty Stamp Co.'s September Crafty Crew Kit that is currently available for pre-order until August 15. You can find all of the information on the kit, including contents, shipping dates and so much more here.

The Groovy Meadow stamp set is one of two stamp sets included in the kit and features Meadow along with some groovy accessories.

The kit itself does include a fabulous Mid-Century Modern Shapes stencil but I really wanted to pair her with the Spring Breeze stencil to match her super cool sunglasses.

I first stamped out my images and fussy cut them out. I then used Copic Markers to color the images and set them to the side to work on my background.

I took an A2 panel and blended Abandoned Coral, Scattered Straw, Twisted Citron and Salvaged Patina Distress Oxides. I then placed the stencil over the panel and blended it with Lumberjack Plaid, Fossilized Ember, Mowed Lawn and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxides.

With a sentiment strip that I die cut out from pink cardstock, I heat embossed it on the strip with embossing ink and white embossing powder.

To assemble my card, I adhered the Meadow image onto the card panel using foam tape. At first I wanted to adhere the sunglasses over her eyes, but love that in this image, she is winking so I added them to the top of her head with foam dates.

I then adhered the sentiment at the bottom with a foam adhesive strip to complete my card.
