Let's Fly This Halloween

Hello crafty friends, DT Randy here and welcome back to the blog. I am back with another batty card for Halloween, this time using the sweet image from the Just Batsy stamp set. I wanted to create a scene where it looked like the bat was about to take off into the night to go trick or treating.

I first stamped out my images and used Copic Markers to color it. I then fussy cut the bat out and set it to the side to create my background.

I wanted to create a simple background so I took an A2 panel and blended it with Uncharted Mariner, Peacock Feathers and Twisted Citron Distress Oxides. I then splattered the panel with white water color.

I then took this tree branch die that I have in my stash and die cut it out of black cardstock. I thought the tree branch that goes across would be perfect for my bat to take off on.

For the sentiment, I took the "Let's Fly" sentiment from the Halloween Just Batsy stamp set and heat embossed it onto a pink sentiment strip using embossing ink and white embossing powder. 

To assembly my card, I adhered the tree branch to the background with liquid adhesive. I then added my bat to the card using foam tape. To complete my card, I adhered the sentiment strip onto the card using foam tape.
