"I'm Just Batsy For You" - Valentine's Day Card with Randy

Hello everyone, welcome back to the blog. We are just a few more days away from Valentine's Day. Have you finished your cards yet? I love taking images from stamp sets meant for other Holidays and using them for another. 

 

I thought these two images from the 'Just Batsy' stamp set from Crafty Stamp Co. would be perfect for a Valentine's Day card. I wanted to make a simple background for them so that this could be a quick and easy card if you are in a time crunch.

• I stamped out my two bats and used Copic Markers to color them.
• I then fussy cut them out and set them to the side to work on my background.
• I took a piece of cardstock and die cut out a heart from a die I had in my stash.
• I then added low tack tape to the back and adhered it to an A2 panel to create a mask.
• I blended Worn Lipstick, Seedless Preserves, and Uncharted Mariner Distress Oxide onto the panel.
• I then removed the heart and blended Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide with a moon stencil I had in my stash.
• I took white watercolor and splattered it across the panel to make it look like a starry sky and let it dry.
• Once the panel dried, I stamped the sentiment directly onto the panel.
•  I then adhered the two bats onto the panel with foam tape.
