Groovy Meadow with Sharon

Good morning! Sharon here sharing my first card made with the September Crafty Crew Kit
I'm going to share with you how I made this card.
first steps is to stamp groovy Meadow. I always use Memento inks when I'm stamping images to color because they play well with alcohol markers.

I only colored her skin hair and boots because I had other plans for her outfit - how about using those groovy papers!
Being the frugal me I cut 2 small squares one from the bright wavy papers and another from the peachy color. I then stamps parts of meadow on to these cut out just her skirt and shirt and paper pieced them onto my full image

Look how cute her outfit is.

Now to build my card, I matted a white base card with the plain pink pattern paper. Next, taking the same wavy patterned paper I used for her shirt, I cut along some of the waves for my next layer. I had colored some of the other elements included in the stamp set to decorate my card with.

using Foam tape I added my wavy pattern to top of card and Meadow fit nicely on the pink mat!
I needed a sentiment for my card and decided to use to of the included ones. Again the frugal me used a scrap of the pattern paper for this - don't ever throw scraps away they are useful! 

I added the oil lamp to my card and put some flower sunglasses on Meadow's head. Finally I added some of the cute sequins you will get if you subscribe!
