Grateful for All Things Big and Small with Randy
The Crafty Crew is falling head over heels for this cozy autumn scene from design team member Randy Nguyen! His sweet trio of hedgies from the Fall Hedgies 4x6 stamp set are snuggled into a pumpkin and tree stump, all framed by a softly ink-blended leaf background using the Autumn Breeze stencil. It’s the perfect “grateful heart” card for the season—full of rich color, layered details, and that heartwarming “grateful for all things big and small” sentiment we adore.
Here’s what Randy had to say about bringing this fall card to life.
Hello crafty friends, welcome back to the blog. Winter is almost ending and we are already moving forward to Spring. But I am just not quite ready for the seasons to change again and want to fall back to one more card that features my favorite my season, Autumn!

Autumn brings me so much joy as it's one of my favorite times of the year, and I wanted to bring some joy back into my craft room by revisiting this amazing season. It's also never too early to start work on cards for later in the year.
I first stamped out my images from the Fall Hedgies stamp set and used Copic Markers to color them. I then fussy cut them out.

I took an A2 panel and blended Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide with a cloud stencil that I had in my stash. I then took the Autumn Breeze stencil and blended it with Abandoned Coral, Carved Pumpkin and Mustard Seed Distress Oxides.
I took another A2 panel and die cut out a grass piece using a die that I had in my stash. I inkblended this piece with Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxides.
With the grass piece, I heat embossed the sentiment onto it using embossing ink and white embossing powder.
I assembled my card by adhering all the elements using a mix of liquid adhesive and foam tape.
