Going To The Lobby with Megan

Hello crafty people! Megan with the design team here sharing a fun card featuring the Going to the Lobby stamp set. There is also a splash of two pattern paper packs, Lights Camera Action 6 x6 Pattern Paper Pack along with Black & White Birthday 6x6 Pattern Paper Pack.

I started by coloring the images of the stamp set with Copic markers and then cutting the images out using my Scan N Cut. You can also do this on a Silhouette. The stamp sets come with cut files to take all the guesswork out of cutting! 

I pulled a die out that cuts the card base and layers. This die is fun because all I had to do was focus on pairing papers for the best look. I ended up using two paper packs that complement each other. The movie theater vibe is so fun for Birthday cards.

I cut the sentiment from a piece of paper in the Black & White Birthday 6x6 Pattern Paper Pack. Do you ever go through your paper and see if there is something you can use in a different way than just a background? I find that I can do this with many of the papers from Crafty Stamp Co. Which works out great, because then I can use my products not just collect and admire them.

While this card is fairly simple, it offers a fun impact with the star shape in the middle. Sometimes it is fun to create a minimal card that shows off. I hope this card encourages you to use up your pattern papers.
