Colorful Encouragement with Positive Tate Neuro Sparkle
Today we are rolling out the crafty red carpet for Shilo and not one, but two beautiful cards featuring our Positive Tate – Neuro Sparkle 4x6 Stamp Set and Perfect Piece 6x6 Pattern Paper! We love how Shilo brought these encouraging designs to life with bold rainbow puzzle backgrounds, soft layered textures, and sweet little details that make each card feel extra special. She shared a bit about how she put these thoughtful creations together, and we are so excited to spotlight them today.
Positive Tate is at it again…as he is featured throughout the Neuro Sparkle Stamp set. Gosh! He’s cute! And I am in love with the colorful/rainbow palette that is through the Perfect Piece Paper Pad – which is exactly where I pulled my color inspiration for my cards. I colored my images for both cards with Copics and then fussy cut them out.
For this first card, I created a little cluster using Tate and this fun puzzle piece, along with a thread “nest”, which adds texture and interest. I repeated the “puzzle” throughout my card with the patterned papers and the embossed background. I actually used the Puzzle 6x6 stencil to emboss! This was my first time trying this technique – have you done this before? It gives yet, another use for all those stencils – YAY! I love that.
After I embossed my background I did do some ink blending and splattering before layering my patterns on top. I then added my sentiment and cluster to finish off the card.
The second card uses many of the same techniques, yet it has a different layout. Do you do this? These two cards coordinate but they are still different.
I did look up the actual colors of the elements on the periodic table and colored them accordingly – but also to match my pattern paper. I love how Tate is standing on top of the blocks – it gave him the perfect place. I snuck a vellum heart behind him…which I think, helps him pop off the paper a little bit better.
