Cold Weather Penguins with Susan

Cold Weather Penguins with Susan

Hi Crafty friends! Crafty Crew member Susan here sharing a Christmas in July project. I love Christmas in July and love getting ahead start on my Christmas projects.

Today I created a fun card using a sketch from Kendra’s Card Challenge. This sketch does take a a bit of time to put together. I found that using washi tape to hold all of the pieces together really helped in getting everything spaced correctly on this card.

Once I had everything taped together , I then added glue to the back and attached it to the card front. After all of the pieces were glued down I removed the washi tape. Of course it isn’t perfect but that’s the beauty of handmade. I used the Merry Latte paper pad for all of the triangles as well as the larger circle.

I stamped one of the adorable penguins from the Cold Weather Penguins stamp set on to the smaller circle and then colored him in using Spectrum Noir alcohol markers. I decided to die cut a small stitched rectangle for my sentiment. So I’m curious are you a fan of Christmas in July? Or if not when do you start your Christmas crafting?
