Christmas Cocoa Cups with Deborah

Hello, fellow crafters. Crafty Crew Member, Deborah Hellman here to share with you some fun Christmas inspiration. I am always motivated to make Christmas cards. If I create at least two each month throughout the year; then in November, I don't feel so overwhelmed. For my Christmas coffee card, I decided to use Crafty Stamp Co's Christmas Cocoa Cups Stamp Set and the Merry Latte Paper Pack.

Steps:
1. My card was actually pretty simple to create. For me, the hardest part is selecting my theme, stamp set, paper, and colors. Once I brainstorm and make my selections, the rest seems to come together quickly.

2. I began by stamping my snowman image on smooth white alcohol ink friendly paper using Memento Tuxedo Black Dye Ink and then colored it with alcohol ink markers. It is important to have your patterned paper selected and nearby so that you can ensure the colors coordinate. This makes the finished product look very cohesive and professional.
3. Then, I stamped and heat embossed my sentiment on some craft paper and die cut it using a small tag die
4. Next, I selected some fun die shapes from my stash and cut a few banners and unique shapes.
5. Then, I played with my layout, moving the shapes around until I was satisfied with the layout. I like it when the shapes connect and encourage eye movement.
6. I finished the card by tying some ribbon to my tag and then attaching it to my mug handle.
I hope my card encouraged you to try a fun new layout.
