Best Vet Ever with Deborah Hellman

Today we’re rolling out the red carpet for Deborah Hellman and this sweet pet-themed thank you card featuring our Fur Mama Meadow Stamp Set, Pets are Family Stamp Set, and Fur Babies 6x6" Pattern Paper Pack. We love how Deborah paired the adorable cat and dog images with the colorful paw print paper and a bold thank you focal point. This project is such a lovely example of how pet-themed stamps, patterned paper, and a heartfelt sentiment can come together to create a handmade card full of appreciation. Here’s what Deborah had to say about the project.

Hello fellow cardmakers! Deborah here and I’m super excited to share with you an adorable A2 card that I created using the new Fur Mama Meadow Stamp Set and the Pets are Family Stamp Set. The Fur Mama Meadow Stamp Set includes 6 image stamps and 3 sentiment stamp options and the Pets are Family Stamp Set has 10 image stamps, 4 full sentiments, and 5 words that can be combined in multiple arrangements. Both sets are quite a bargain considering how many stamps you get. I also used the Fur Babies 6x6" Pattern Paper Pack which is a perfect pairing for this card.

After stamping and cutting out my images on white cardstock, I selected my patterned paper and die cut some layers. I also die cut my "Thank You" sentiment. I prefer to choose my paper first so that I can select alcohol ink markers that coordinate with my papers.

After coloring my adorable cat and dog images and stamping "Best Vet Ever," I assembled and attached the cut cardstock and sentiment.

Tip: When you have separate letters to attach, alignment can be a challenge sometimes. I like to line up my letters where I want then, carefully lay a piece of washi tape across the entire sentiment, peel up one side only (like a hinge), add a little glue behind my letters, and then lay the whole sentiment back down and gently press the letters in place. After I give it a moment to dry, I gently remove the washi tape.
