Always Sea Lifes Beauty!

Hello Crafty Friends!  Crafty Crew Member Susan here sharing a magical mermaid-inspired card.

I began with a piece of white cardstock, die cut with a rectangular distressed edge die for a textured look. Using the Mermaid Tales Stencil, I blended Spun Sugar, Dusty Concord, and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide and Inks. Before lifting the stencil, I gave it a light mist of shimmer spray to add a sparkling touch to the mermaid scales.

Next, I layered the stenciled panel onto the Mermaid Dreams patterned paper. To tie everything together, I mounted this onto another piece of white cardstock, lightly blended around the edges with Dusty Concord for a bit more color. 

The star of the card is the sweet mermaid from the Make a Splash Meadow stamp set that I colored in using alcohol markers. I finished the card with the “Always Sea Life’s Beauty” sentiment—also from the Make a Splash Meadow stamp set.
