Positive Tate's Halloween Scare with Deborah

Positive Tate's Halloween Scare with Deborah

Hello, fellow crafters. Crafty Crew Member, Deborah Hellman here to share with you some fun Halloween inspiration using the new September Release Products. For my fun shaker card, I decided to use the Positive Tate's Halloween Scare Stamp Set and the Boo Bash Patterned Paper Pack.
1. I first decided to make a fun candy corn shaker and selected a few sheets of paper from the Boo Bash Patterned Paper Pack.
2. Next, I cut the candy corn shaped opening in my patterned card panel, glued a piece of acetate to the backside of the opening, and added the candy cane border to the front. I also cut and assembled a second candy corn to be attached to the card base directly under the opening.
3. Then, I added two layers of foam adhesive to the backside of the cover panel and glued my second candy corn to my cardbase.
4. Next, I stamped my tater images and sentiments on smooth white alcohol ink friendly paper using Memento Tuxedo Black Dye Ink, cut them out, and arranged them to make sure I liked my layout. I then colored the images with alcohol ink markers colors that coordinated with my paper. This makes the finished product look very cohesive and professional.
5. I also added some additional thin adhesive along the black separation lines so that I could keep my solid sequin colors separated.
6. Next, I removed the adhesive backing and carefully attached my cardbase aligning all corners.  Tip: Make sure you dry fit your top panel and cardbase before adding sequins and removing the adhesive to make sure they are the same size. If needed, trim whichever is larger.
I hope you like my fun Halloween shaker card. I am sure it will be loved by one of my five grandchildren. 🎃

Thanks so much for stopping by today and spending a little time with me! I hope you will check back throughout the month for more design team inspiration.
